During my teens I started shooting photos with a Agfa Selectronic camera. Reading lots of books about photography my adored hero was Ansel Adams with his Black and White photos. Later I became very inspired by the first issues of the German GEO magazine.
My first and long term favorite subjects were steam locomotives which were still running then close to my hometown. That's the reason for their appearence on this website.
Much later I started extensively travelling - especially in Asia and picturing the people and scenes there.
The Black and Whites were mainly shot with the Hasselblad 503 CW camera and some with the Pentax 645 camera.
The Colour photos were shot with the Canon 5D camera and Zeiss lenses.
